Our Story

Designed in the Blue Ridge. Made to last.

We started Blue Ridge Laces in 2017 with a simple frame: a lace should outlast the boots it's on. That meant choosing materials by how they perform — not how they market.

Today, we curate three core materials from American manufacturers — waxed Kevlar, 550 paracord, and latigo leather — and we stand behind every pair for life.

What Boot Owners Say

14,000+ five-star reviews

Put these Kevlar laces on my Iron Rangers six months ago. Haven't retied them once during a work day. The wax grip is no joke.

The leather laces broke in beautifully. They're darker now than when I bought them and match the patina on my Wolverines perfectly.

Paracord on my Thorogoods. They've been through mud, rain, and concrete dust for four months. Dry fast, still look new.

FAQ

Common questions.

Don't see yours? Email hello@blueridgelaces.com — a real person responds within a day.

How long will these laces actually last?

With daily wear on a heritage boot, most customers report 3–5 years before replacement. The Kevlar core is effectively indestructible — the wax coating is what eventually wears, and you can refresh it with a beeswax rub. Covered by our lifetime warranty regardless.

Will they fit speed hooks without fraying?

Yes. The round 4mm braid slides through speed hooks cleanly, and the wax coating firms up around hook contact points over the first week of wear — so the lace sets into position and stays there.

Are these flame-resistant?

Kevlar itself doesn't burn and remains stable up to 630°F. The wax coating will soften at high heat but won't propagate flame.

Can I wash them?

Wipe clean with a dry cloth. Skip the detergents — the wax coating is what gives these laces their grip and finish. Over time the wax darkens slightly and develops its own character.

What if they don't fit?

Send them back within 60 days for any reason, no questions. Or email hello@blueridgelaces.com with your boot model and we'll pick the correct length.
